The history of the 'Ipone' brand begins in 1985 when, due to the lack of lubricants for mopeds and scooters, they decided to release their range of lubricants for two-stroke engines. Very quickly, the company's products became very recognizable among young drivers. Gradually increasing the popularity of their brand in the French two-stroke lubricant market, Ipone is also involved in the wider motorcycle sector. After some time, Ipone expanded its range and today can offer the market oils from ATVs to snow scooters or jet skis. Since 2003, Ipone has distributed its products in around thirty countries and regularly sponsors various motorcycle competitions such as like World Superbike, Paris Dakar or Red Bull Romaniacs.
